Arctotis plants, also known as African daisies, are beautiful and environmentally beneficial, in part due to their drought-tolerance and ability to help control erosion.
This hand-colored copper plate engraving is part of a collection of prints from the book Figures of the Most Beautiful Plants Described in the Gardeners Dictionary, published by Philip Miller in London in 1770. There were multiple contributing illustrators, including Georg Ehret.
