Poster promoting a demonstration held at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park, NYC, in favor of disarming armed forces. The U.S. Military was set to march down 5th Avenue that same day, May 20th, as part of a traditional parade for Armed Forces Day. Workshop in Nonviolence (WIN) activists dubbed the day "Flower Power Day" as a counter to the military celebration. Poster design features stylized psychedelic text surrounding cartoonishly illustrated artillery filled with flowers, decorated with various symbols of peace. Black ink on pink background.
