"America became great by being a secure haven for freedom of thought and action. We prove conclusively that people of every race and every creed can dwell together in harmony. Into the plain word AMERICAN is fused all the ideals, hopes, inspiration and faith of our people."

This original vintage poster is from a campaign run by Scholastic Magazines. In a dual effort to support American war efforts and promote social justice, these prints used various figureheads and uber-patriotic quotes. They were hung up in schools across the United States, trying to ensure the future generation would receive the messages. The main point is clear -- diversty is what makes America, America.

Year: c. 1946
