Plate 66 includes the following note in the book's annex: "PONTE DEI DADI, or Bridge of Dice, at S. Mark's. - The knowing ones tell us that this bridge derived its name trom the popular cry Dai! Dai! - At him! Give it him - shouted after Bajamonte Tiepolo and his fellow conspirators as they flred from. S. Mark's Square on their discomfiture on the 10th june 1310. - A fine house in pure Venetian is observable from this bridge."
