Plate 9 includes the following note in the book's annex: "CANNAREGIO CANAL. - This spacious canal is crossed by the bridge named, from the small obelisks on it, delle Guglie, and is one of the largest in Venice. On the right embankment are the Manfrin and Savor. guan palaces, the latter by Sardi, with some good paintings by Segala."
