Plate 63 includes the following note in the book's annex: "PALAZZO LOREDAN, the lpresent Town Hall, on the Grand Canal - This edifice is built in Lombardo-Byzatine style of the XIIth century. It belongs to that Federico Corner Piscopia who, in 1363 and in 1366, entertained Peter, King of Cyprus, whose armorial bearings are still seen on the front, and who was an ancestor of the celebrated Elena Lucrezia who flourished in the second half of the XVIIth century."
