"Streets and Canals in Venice 70"

Black and white plate from 'Streets and Canals in Venice and in the Islands of the Lagoons'.

Plate 70 includes the following note in the book's annex: "The ISLAND OF S. MICHAEL OF MURANO. - The church of the same saint in this Island is in Renaissance style, and was built byt the architect Moro ombardo 1466-1478. The door and window in the Front are in Lombardic by Moretto Veneziano; The principal chapel is in Renaissance of the XVIth century. b. VIEW from the Custom-House extremity of the Giudecca Canal. (See Plate 76, in the first Series)."
