"Streets and Canals in Venice 73"

Black and white plate from 'Streets and Canals in Venice and in the Islands of the Lagoons'.

Plate 73 includes the following note in the book's annex: "FONDAMENTA DELLE ZITELLE ALLA GIUDECCA. The Maidens' Embankment on the Giudecca Island. The church, built in 1586, is united to the endowed Conventual School known as the Maidens'. Vessels moor here to unload corn and charcoal."
