"Streets and Canals in Venice 97"

Black and white plate from 'Streets and Canals in Venice and in the Islands of the Lagoons'.

Plate 97 includes the following note in the book's annex: "S. SPIRITO. - Nothing remains of this island but the bare earth; it had a church by Sansovino, with pictures by celebrated painters which were transported to the Salute in 1656. It also possiesed a monastery of Augustine friars, with a printing press for books and music."
